That's All Folks!
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
Just kidding it wasn't the worst of times at all. Actually I had a great time with these assignments and blogging about them. Perhaps the greatest thing to come out of it was the abundance of new resources that we've used over the course of the summer, and even the ones we didn't use but downloaded into the back of our minds.
However, I don't know about you, but sometimes all that data that I've downloaded to my head after all these years can get lost. So instead we have to back it up to the "cloud". And what better way to do that than to curate a list of the best of the best?
So I decided to go back to Wakelet, as we previously arrived at the conclusion that Wakelet was the winner for best curation site. This time I chose a template instead of starting from scratch. I think this helpful to creating an end result that makes logical sense. I chose the "Choice Board" template because I knew there was a lot of resources I wanted to save and some of them were vastly different from each other. So I need a layout that showed a clear categorization between resources.
My finished resource curation looks like this
Ultimately I had to decide on which resources I wanted to save for safe keeping. That meant picking the ones that I was actually going to use or could for see myself using in the future. Which is why I decided to save some of the design resources as well as those that "make life easier" like Magic School or Just Read. After that, arranging them by similar traits was easy. Ultimately I think it's a good start, and will serve as a spot to house any upcoming resources I want to save.
Overall, it's been a lot of fun sharing with you guys about my thoughts, trials, and tribulations. I might even start another blog. I find the activity to be very cathartic. I'll leave everyone (for now) with the words I find myself often writing down on graduation cards:
Laugh a lot, Live a lot, Read a lot.
